About Dr. Turner:

In addition to being an Associate Professor of Social Entrepreneurship and Director at the Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Turner has over 25 years of grant writing, training, and review experience. This experience has resulted in over $40 million in grants from private foundations and the federal government. He conducts basic, advanced, and intensive grant writing workshops for the Center for Nonprofit Management in Nashville in addition to developing and teaching a grant writing course at Belmont where he matches students with local nonprofit organizations. His grant reviewer experience includes working for a Nashville-based private foundation and for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Turner has held the GPC (Grant Professional Certification) from the Grant Professionals Certification Institute since 2007 and is currently a board member and treasurer for the Grant Professionals Association.
