For nearly 30 years AIDS United has identified, funded, and advocated for community-driven responses to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We have directly funded more than $104 million to local communities, and have leveraged more than $117 million in additional support for programs that make a real difference in the lives of people living with and affected by HIV.

At AIDS United, we amplify the impact of strategic grantmaking, capacity building training, and advocacy with and on behalf of people living with HIV to push us forward and to achieve our mission of ending the AIDS epidemic faster.

Our approach is special and it only happens at AIDS United. No one else can leverage the unique perspectives, expertise, leadership, or reach that we bring to the field.

In this report, we will share examples of our work as we continue forward, providing leadership for now.

United in Our Cause: The Future of Our Movement

“Three decades ago, the HIV movement emerged from hopelessness and chaos into a powerful agent of change. People were dying and our collective voices demanded medications, research, and basic human compassion. We dug our heels in deep. We came together. We fought hard. We refused to be told no. United, we changed the course of HIV/AIDS.”

In a statement issued November 9, 2016 we affirmed our commitment to ensuring the rights and dignity of all people are respected, protected, advanced, and that the federal response to HIV continues to be robust, evidence-based, and steeped in social justice.

Join us in this journey. Every donation, big or small, puts us that much closer to ending AIDS in America.
