Salary Range:  $65,000 - $75,000/year

DESCRIPTION

AIDS United is seeking a Program Manager to provide substantive program and administrative coordination for the Southern HIV Impact Fund, a grantmaking program serving community-based organizations (CBOs) located in nine Southern states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas). In collaboration with the existing Southern HIV Impact Fund team (consisting of a Program Associate, another Program Manager, and a Senior Program Manager), the Program Manager will work closely with the grantee sites, technical assistance providers, funders, and other internal and external partners on innovative projects. This is a full-time position with an anticipated start date of November 1, 2019.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Senior Program Manager and another Program Manager to coordinate the grant portfolio, including, but not limited to, coordinating the development of requests for proposals, proposal review and grantee selection process, monitoring grantee performance, and developing resources to support and assist grantees;
  • Develop outreach strategies, cultivate partnerships, and execute visibility opportunities for the portfolio, including the creation of tools and products related to the portfolio, the submissions of conference abstracts, and public speaking engagements regarding the initiative;
  • Perform cohort evaluation, track deliverables, and monitor progress;
  • Build and strengthen relationships with CBO’s throughout the Southern United States and support identification of new potential funders for the initiative.
  • Site visit planning and coordination, and implementation of external technical assistance, evaluations, and grantee meetings;
  • In collaboration with AU development team, executive leadership, and the Senior Program Manager, maintain effective communication with program funder(s), including submission of timely grant applications, reports, and ongoing updates about the progress of the initiative.
  • Research and share innovative strategies related to prevention services, care, and treatment and advocacy.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must currently reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Texas.
  • Bachelor’s degree (in lieu of a degree, four+ years of related work experience) and no less than four years of program and/or grants management experience with programs that reach and engage people living with and affected by HIV, with a specific focus on knowledge of other social justice movements that intersect with HIV;
  • Outstanding written and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly with people at all levels;
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional project & time management skills;
  • Experience with collaboration, communication, engagement, and networking with organizations, leaders, and communities/peers in the South;
  • Familiarity with grants management including: meeting deliverables, monitoring work plan objectives, and oversight of subcontracts and familiarity with webinar and/or multimedia platforms supportive of learning communities;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and preferably experienced with Salesforce CRM;
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred;
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States;

TRAVEL

Position requires heavy travel - more than 60 days per year.
