POP Grantees
People Organizing Positively (POP) grantees tackle HIV-related stigma and discrimination in their communities by advancing grassroots organizing among people living with HIV. From leading a multi-state initiative empowering women living with HIV, addressing leadership development of people living with HIV through advocacy/storytelling, to multiple campaigns mobilizing community members to address HIV criminalization, the 10 grantee organizations are working to harness the power and resiliency inherent in their communities to make a clear difference in the lives of people living with HIV everywhere.

Idaho Coalition for HIV Health and Safety

The Idaho Coalition for HIV Health and Safety will educate Idahoans on the importance of modernizing Idaho's HIV Criminalization Codes to ensure more Idahoans living with HIV to find their voices and demand a seat at all tables concerning HIV policies and laws in Idaho now and in the future.



The Idaho Coalition For HIV Health and Safety’s (ICHHS) mission is to continue building a statewide MIPA driven organization whose goal is to modernize all Idaho Codes that Criminalize HIV/AIDS while empowering as many PLHIV as possible in Idaho.


PWN-USA-South Carolina

The South Carolina Chapter of the Positive Women's Network - USA develops leadership and advocacy capacity among South Carolinians living with HIV to modernize South Carolina's HIV criminal laws.



The mission of PWN-USA is to prepare and involve women living with HIV, in all our diversity, in all levels of policy and decision-making to advance human rights and dignity.

The Catharsis Project

The Catharsis Project hosts Creative Remedy & Education Workshops to create safe space for millennials of color living with HIV to artistically express themselves and speak out on issues that affect their communities, while creating a foundation of support for each other.



The mission of The Catharsis Project is to use performance art to share the stories and history of disenfranchised communities to bring about social change.

The Counter Narrative Project

The Counter Narrative Project, in partnership with the Brave Soul Collective, will mobilize black gay men around the 30th anniversary of the film Tongues Untied and use this historic merger of art and activism to heal and promote grassroots leadership.



Founded in 2014 as a catalyst for social and cultural change, the Counter Narrative Project's (CNP) mission is to build power among Black gay men (BGM) and work in solidarity, partnership, and coalition with all movements committed to social justice.

THRIVE SS

THRIVE SS will expand member-led policy education initiatives and enhance the work of their Political and Social Action Network (PASAN) with policy and organizational advocacy agenda development.



The mission of the THRIVE SS is to serve the purpose of support, through lessening gaps of disparities, advocacy through mobilizing and improving health equity for people living with HIV.

Transgender Law Center

The Transgender Law Center supports transgender people living with HIV while contributing to national efforts to better connect, empower, network, and resource transgender HIV activists across the U.S.



Transgender Law Center (TLC) changes law, policy, and attitudes so that all people can live safely, authentically, and free from discrimination regardless of their gender identity or expression.
