Emmett Patterson
CBA Specialist

Emmett Patterson brings direct service and policy experience in trans health, sex education, and disability justice to his role as CBA specialist for the AIDS United Getting to Zero initiative. He lives to talk about LGBTQ health access and sexual health; in fact, he never stops talking about it. Invested in innovating new ways to develop medical provider educational curricula, Emmett is currently authoring a collection of short stories used to train emergency medical providers about LGBTQ patient health needs. One of these short stories was recently published in the inaugural edition of the TQ Review.

Outside of work, you can usually find him in a kayak on the Potomac, at his piano, or obsessing over the latest Tom Hanks film. Inspired and ignited by the organizers and activists throughout the history of the HIV/AIDS movement, Emmett believes that intersectional justice and community-driven approaches to care will create better health outcomes for us all.
