Farah Nageer-Kanthor, MPhil Development Studies
Senior Program Manager

Farah Nageer-Kanthor is the Senior Program Manager for Capacity Building. She brings 10 years of experience in domestic and international public health, technical assistance, evaluation, quality improvement, and curriculum development with particular focus on HIV/AIDS and women’s health.

Prior to joining the AIDS United team, Farah worked with the Institute for Public Health Innovation in Washington, DC to develop the community health worker workforce across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. She previously served as the Director of Programs and the Prevention Program Director at The Women’s Collective, a women's health and HIV focused community-based organization in Washington, DC.

Farah’s international experience includes work in her home country of Guyana, across Central and Latin America, and Bangladesh. She has applied this expertise for myriad international organizations focused on social change including the Pan American Health Organization, UNDP, UNICEF, FHI 360, and Care International. Farah is committed to strengthening individuals, organizations, and communities to activate their own leadership in order to effect healthy, sustainable, and equitable outcomes. Outside of the office, Farah is studying to become a breastfeeding counselor. She is kept active and entertained by her husband and two darling children.
