Senior Program Manager

Venton C. Hill-Jones serves as the Senior Program Manager for the Evidence-Informed Interventions Coordinating Center for Technical Assistance. Venton has over a decade of experience working in the areas of non-profit and events management, program planning, public policy, and community organizing.

Prior to joining the staff at AIDS United, Venton worked as the Program Officer for LGBTQ Health and Wellness Initiatives at the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) in Washington, DC. In this role, Venton led the organization’s health and wellness program portfolio.

Venton is recognized as a leading authority on health disparities affecting LGBTQ people and communities of color. In 2011, Venton was recognized at The White House by President Barack Obama for his work during the 19th International AIDS Conference. He has been featured in a number of publications and other media outlets including: JET, BET and POZ and is a recipient of the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) Positive Leadership Award, the National AIDS Education and Services for Minorities (NAESM) Harold Dean Philpot Leadership Award for Excellence in Support for HIV/AIDS, and Community Service. In addition to his extensive work in HIV/AIDS, Venton has been living with HIV since 2007.

Venton received his B.S in Community Health from Texas A&M University, his M.S. in Health Care Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington. In his free time, Venton enjoys visiting national parks, outdoor recreation and community service activities. He is a Free and Accepted Mason (F.A.A.M.) and an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
