APR23 Removing barriers to care is an investment into ending the HIV epidemic

President Biden’s American Jobs Plan has largely been noted as a plan that invests in America’s future. In fact, there are several areas where the plan makes significant steps forward in areas that are critical to ending the HIV epidemic. While this plan is still being reviewed and debated by House and Senate leaders and is likely to have revisions, it is important to uplift the areas that could help meet the needs of people living with and vulnerable to HIV.

APR16 You have the power to tell Congress to end the epidemic

Ending the HIV epidemic will take a considerable amount of funding. Programs funded through the Department of Health and Human Services, Medicaid and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are critical components of several organizations’ abilities to put a stop to the HIV epidemic. These programs are all funded through the direction of Congress, which sets the budgets for many of the programs that people living with and vulnerable to HIV depend on.

APR09 Remembering Pedro Zamora on National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day as we work to #StopHIVTogether

When Pedro Zamora disclosed his HIV status to the strangers living with him on The Real World: San Francisco, Zamora became the face of HIV for people watching from their living rooms across the United States. A 21-year-old Cuban immigrant, Zamora had dedicated his life to educating youth about HIV/AIDS.
