An open letter to all elected officials

AIDS United, in honor of Juneteeth, is republishing today an open letter standing in solidarity with the current racial justice movement building momentum across the country. AIDS United, along with 53 members of its Public Policy Council, issued the letter earlier this month, and it was first published in HIV Plus Magazine. The letter is addressed to all elected officials, and has garnered 23 additional signers since it was first published.

AIDS United's CEO responds to Supreme Court and Trump administration

Jesse Milan Jr., president and CEO of AIDS United, issued the following statement after the Supreme Court announced its decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, in which the court ruled that LGBTQ+ workers are protected from job discrimination, and in response to the Trump administration's new rule that allows discrimination against LGBTQ+ people.

AIDS United CEO honors the memory of Ron Simmons

Ron Simmons, Ph.D., spent 24 years as president and CEO of Us Helping Us, People Into Living Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that provided HIV prevention and support services for African Americans in the Washington area.
