AIDS United's Relief, Recovery and Resilience Fund is providing grants of up to $20,000 to assist organizations in Washington, D.C., to address community needs related to mpox.
We have received $150,000 in funding from the District of Columbia Department of Health (DC Health) to provide 15-20 grants to organizations that will:
- Do outreach and provide vaccine education to people living with and vulnerable to HIV and mpox.
- Provide vaccines to people living with or vulnerable to HIV and mpox.
- Provide medical services and case management for people living with and vulnerable to HIV and mpox.
- Provide emotional or mental health support for staff, volunteers or participants living with and vulnerable to HIV and mpox.
We will also consider requests to cover administrative costs not supported by other funding sources.
To be eligible for funding, applicants must operate in Washington, D.C., have HIV as one of their focus areas, and utilize a racial and social justice frame. The organization must also be incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. If your organization does not hold this status, you must have a fiscal sponsor that does. Please note that we are unable to provide grants to individuals or for-profit companies.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. EDT on July 7, 2023. The grant period will be July 15, 2023-Jan. 31, 2024.
